The board of directors of the Pensionskassen Arkitekter & Designere has now constituted itself with architect Rikke Rohr, who is elected by the members, as chairman, and Kenneth L. Winther, who has been appointed by the Danish Association of Academic Architects, as deputy chairman.
At the board meeting on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the board of directors of the Pension Fund Architects & Designers (PAD) constituted itself after the general meeting in April.
The board has appointed Rikke Rohr, who is a member-elected board member, as the new chairperson and Kenneth L. Winther, appointed by the Danish Association of Academic Architects, as deputy chairperson.
The new leadership will continue the progressive line that has been set for PAD’s development, where, among other things, member involvement and responsible real estate investments are central.
“The overall ambitions for PAD largely coincide with the previous chairmanship, but as the new chairmanship, I also have a desire to reach out across the pension industry. The insight I have gained in the first years on the board has shown me that it will be crucial to create this cross-cutting network and an active dialogue with our legislators if the pension funds are to truly succeed in taking on responsibility for handling the climate and biodiversity crisis,” says Rikke Rohr.
She notes that PAD and the Sampension community have come a long way in reducing the climate footprint of investments, but that the work towards net-zero emissions is far from complete.
“I would like to gather and create renewed momentum in the work of achieving the results that there is broad agreement that the board wants to see in the coming years,” says the leader.
The board of directors takes note of the externally conducted pilot of a market check carried out by the consultancy firm KPMG. The study concludes that, based on the given criteria, there is no burning platform in the current administration community in Sampension. The board of directors will now concentrate its efforts on advancing the agendas of responsible investments combined with good returns and member communication, on which much more active cooperation has begun in the administration community in the past period.
Søren Kaare-Andersen, Kenneth L. Winther and Rikke Rohr have been elected to the audit and risk committee.
In the Sampension community’s responsible investment committee, Esther Julie Ringer Ellingsen will continue the work together with the newly elected board member Kirstine Brøgger Jensen.
