BNP Paribas Asset Management strengthens private assets platform with integration of BNP Paribas Capital Partners

BNP Paribas Asset Management (‘BNPP AM’) announces that it has finalised the integration of BNP Paribas Capital Partners (‘BNPP CP’), its specialised alternative multi-management platform including private asset fund solutions, as well as funds of hedge funds and UCITS-compliant hedge funds.

In line with BNPP AM’s strategy of accelerating the development of its private asset investment strategies, and following the signing of the acquisition of Dynamic Credit Group in September 2020[1], the integration of BNPP CP further strengthens BNPP AM’s Private Debt & Real Assets investment division (‘PDRA’), bringing its assets under management to more than EUR 20 billion.

The closing of this transaction will allow BNPP AM to expand its scope to new market segments within private debt, benefiting from BNPP CP’s successful development in recent years in specialised debt and impact private equity fund solutions.

The fund of hedge funds business will join the already well established Multi Asset, Quantitative & Solutions (‘MAQS’) business led by Denis Panel. This will extend the coverage of MAQS’ multi asset and FundQuest Advisor teams to liquid alternative funds.
