CBRE Global Investors Unveils New Name—CBRE Investment Management—and Reinforces Commitment to Real Assets Solutions through Brand Repositioning

23 September 2021

CBRE Global Investors has changed its name to CBRE Investment Management as it unveils its new brand positioning and corporate website, cbreim.com. These developments underscore the firm’s commitment to deliver sustainable real assets solutions, as demand for real assets investments continues to climb.

CBRE Investment Management replaces the CBRE Global Investors brand and all sub-brands globally, including CBRE Caledon Capital Management, its private infrastructure business; CBRE Clarion Securities, its listed real assets business; and CBRE Global Investment Partners, its private indirect real estate business. This new unified name is a key step in the firm’s continued evolution. The adoption of a single identity simplifies the brand and represents how the whole firm uses its combined expertise to drive performance for its clients.

“The launch of CBRE Investment Management is another milestone in our strategic focus on realizing potential in the real assets market,” said Chuck Leitner, CEO of CBRE Investment Management. “We have long been aware of the significant real assets investment opportunity, and the adoption of a single unified brand further bolsters our ability to deliver real assets solutions so our clients, people and communities thrive. As we look to the future, we will continue to build on a rich history of serving our clients through our investor-operator capabilities, information advantage and commitment to sustainability.”

The firm has steadily expanded its real assets capabilities and grown its assets under management. Over the last year, CBRE Investment Management has enhanced its offering in several ways, including:

Investor-operator capabilities: Building on its capability to deliver on all aspects of an asset’s lifecycle, from investment through to the user experience, the firm recently announced the creation of a global sector-specific logistics team that will enhance and better align its global expertise within the growing logistics sector.

Information advantage: To harness extensive data and market insights to drive better portfolio solutions and better investment outcomes, the firm has expanded and unified its in-house Insights & Intelligence team—which includes 30+ fundamental and quantitative researchers and 20+ analytics/ risk measurement specialists, covering 300+ market/sector combinations.

Commitment to sustainability: Seeing environmental, social and governance factors as fundamental to the business and to driving long-term performance, the firm appointed Helen Gurfel to the newly created role of Head of Global Sustainability and Innovation to drive the firm’s ambitions outlined in its Sustainability Vision.

The announcement follows CBRE’s September 15, 2021, brand positioning launch, which centers on a new corporate vision, “Realizing Potential in Every Dimension.”
