IGG hires Mark Woodhouse as Trustee Director

Mark Woodhouse has been appointed as Trustee Director, further strengthening professional trustee capability as pension schemes navigate increasing governance and regulatory complexity.

Mark will support clients in addressing heightened regulatory scrutiny, more complex funding positions, and an increased focus on long-term strategic planning. His appointment enhances IGG’s Trustee Director team and supports the continued development of the firm’s regional presence in Scotland, where he will be based in IGG’s Edinburgh office.

Mark brings over 20 years’ experience in the pensions industry, with a strong track record in professional trusteeship and scheme governance. A Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (FPMI), he has worked with schemes at a wide range of stages of maturity, building his career across professional trustee, consultancy, and advisory roles. His approach is grounded in practical, proportionate decision-making, supporting schemes to achieve robust outcomes in an increasingly complex environment, and he joins IGG from Dalriada Trustees.

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Woodhouse said: “I’m delighted to be joining IGG at a point where strong, proportionate governance has never been more important. IGG has a strong reputation for well-judged, professional trusteeship and I’m looking forward to working alongside my new colleagues to support clients through increasingly complex strategic and regulatory challenges.”

Also commenting, Grant Suckling, Chief Commercial Officer at IGG, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Mark to IGG. He brings deep experience from across the professional trustee market and a strong track record of supporting schemes through complex governance and funding issues. As demand for experienced, high-quality trustees continues to grow, Mark’s appointment reflects our ongoing investment in senior trustee capability to meet the needs of our growing client portfolio and their increasingly complex requirements.”
