Newham Pension Fund Invested in Wellington Global Equity Value Fund via London CIV (feb 2025)

The London Borough of Newham Pension Fund (the Fund) recently published its Pension Board Agenda on November 25, 2025. The document outlines key decisions and updates regarding the Fund’s investment strategy and administration.

Strategic Asset Allocation Update

The Fund’s Investment Strategy Statement (ISS) outlines a strategic asset allocation designed to meet its long-term funding objective of becoming fully funded within the agreed deficit recovery period. The allocation includes 5% in Gilts, 15% in Other bonds, 50% in Public equities, 10% in Private equities, 15% in Property, and 5% in Infrastructure. This allocation aims to generate returns sufficient to meet the discount rate assumption while managing risk. (Source: Funding Strategy Statement, page 23)
