PATRIZIA appoints Gus Wiseman to deepen alignment with UK investment policy and capital mobilisation

  • Strategic hire to support UK expansion across real estate, impact and infrastructure
  • Joins from the UK Government, where he served as Global Head of Investor Relations at the Department for Business and Trade
  • Appointment enhances PATRIZIA’s alignment with public policy and private capital mobilisation

PATRIZIA, an investment manager in global real assets, has appointed Gus Wiseman as Director, UK Product, based in London. The appointment supports PATRIZIA’s continued expansion in the UK, reinforcing its position as a leading manager of domestic and international capital across real estate, impact and infrastructure.

Wiseman joins from the UK Government, where he most recently served as Global Head of Investor Relations at the Office for Investment, a joint unit of No.10, HM Treasury and the Department for Business and Trade. In this role, he worked closely with ministers, policymakers and institutional investors to shape the UK’s investment engagement strategy and was a key architect of the Sterling 20 initiative, designed to mobilise domestic pension capital into productive investments across infrastructure, housing and private markets. His experience spans capital mobilisation, policy design and public-private partnership development, positioning him uniquely at the intersection of government priorities and institutional investor needs.

At PATRIZIA, Wiseman will focus on two strategic priorities. First, he will support the firm’s UK capital development strategy, working alongside senior leadership to expand relationships with domestic and international investors and identify new sources of long-term capital aligned with PATRIZIA’s core strengths across the built environment. Immediate areas of focus include social and affordable housing, regeneration and social infrastructure – sectors where institutional capital can play a transformative role.

Second, Wiseman will deploy his deep understanding of government, public policy and regulatory frameworks to support strategic engagement across the UK investment ecosystem. Drawing on his experience at the heart of policymaking, he will help ensure PATRIZIA’s investment strategies remain closely aligned with evolving policy priorities, regulatory developments and long-term national objectives, enabling the firm to structure investment solutions that are both commercially compelling and socially impactful.

Simon Redman, Global Head of Product at PATRIZIA, commented: “Gus brings exceptional insight into how government, policy and institutional capital interact. His experience will be invaluable as we continue to scale our UK platform, develop new investment strategies, and deepen partnerships across the investment ecosystem. This is a highly strategic appointment that strengthens our ability to deliver long-term solutions for investors in areas such as housing, infrastructure and regeneration.”

Gus Wiseman commented: “PATRIZIA has established a highly differentiated real assets platform, with a strong focus on impact, sustainability and long-term value creation. The opportunity to help connect public policy objectives with private capital at scale is compelling, particularly across housing, infrastructure and social investment. I look forward to working with the team to support PATRIZIA’s continued growth in the UK and to help shape investment strategies that deliver both strong returns and meaningful outcomes.”

Wiseman previously held several senior roles across the UK Government, working closely with ministers, regulators, pension funds and global investors to design frameworks that support long-term investment into productive assets. He is widely recognised for his role in shaping the UK’s evolving approach to pension capital mobilisation and public-private investment partnerships.
