TPT Investment Management (TPTIM), the fiduciary management company and part of the TPT Retirement Solutions Group has hired Nick Stacey as Senior Investment Manager.
In his new role, Nick will be responsible for enhancing TPTIM’s research activities, continuing to develop its private market investment strategy. He will also support the wider team on strategy and portfolio construction initiatives as well as product development. Nick will report to Peter Smith, Investment Director at TPTIM.
Nick will draw on a wealth of multi-asset investment experience in his new role, with more than 22 years in the industry. His expertise will be an asset to TPTIM in helping achieve its ambitious growth plans. Prior to joining TPT, Nick served as Head of Asset Management and Allocation for a European family office. Before this, Nick spent eight years at the in-house investment team at Barclays UK Retirement Fund, focusing on investment strategy and research relating to return-seeking assets. Nick began his career in 2002 as an Investment Analyst at Man Group, researching hedge fund strategies.
Nick joins TPTIM as the business has been launching a series of new collective investment vehicles, designed to offer schemes easy access to a wide range of investment strategies. These funds will enable pension schemes joining TPT to immediately achieve scale benefits across asset classes by aggregating with the assets in the master trust. This approach enables TPTIM to build on the successful model of scheme consolidation – pooling assets to deliver value and impact – to the benefit of pension schemes and their members.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Smith, Investment Director at TPTIM, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Nick to TPTIM, and look forward to benefiting from the wealth of experience and investment expertise he will bring to the business. The skills Nick brings to his new role will be crucial in helping us achieve the plans we have for our business. Nick joins at an exciting time as we continue to expand our product range and enhance the investment options available for the UK’s small to mid sized pension schemes.”
Nick Stacey, Senior Investment Manager at TPTIM, said:
“It is an exciting time for pensions in the UK with the introduction of the new Pension Schemes Bill to Parliament. I’m thrilled to begin working with the team at TPTIM to support building our offerings for our clients, particularly in helping to develop our private market investment strategy. I look forward to working with Peter and the team to help tackle the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
