Martin Currie adds Portfolio Manager to Global Emerging Markets team

Martin Currie, the active equity specialist and steward of £16.5 billion (US$22.3 billion) in assets under management as of September 30, 2021, is pleased to announce the addition of Aimee Truesdale as a portfolio manager on the firm’s global emerging markets team, effective December 1, 2021. Martin Currie is a specialist investment manager of Franklin Templeton.

As a portfolio manager, Truesdale will support the growth of Martin Currie’s emerging market strategy. The strategy manages assets of £5.2 billion (US$7.0 billion) as of September 30, 2021.

Truesdale was most recently an assistant fund manager and equities analyst at Jupiter Asset Management, where she worked on the firm’s Indian equities strategy and conducted research and analysis on emerging markets equities. Part of her role involved collaborating with Jupiter’s Stewardship team to oversee ESG issues at investee companies. Truesdale holds a B.Sc. in physics with honours from the University of Edinburgh. She has been a CFA charterholder since 2016.
