Caritas pension fund goes into liquidation status as part of the restructuring

15 January 2021

Dear employers, dear members, dear business partners,

In May 2019, the meeting of representatives of the Caritas pension fund decided on the restructuring concept to compensate for a balance sheet deficit. This has created a solid basis for ensuring ongoing benefits for our insured and guaranteeing future pension payments.

As the last step in the implementation of the restructuring concept, the Caritas pension fund formally entered liquidation status on December 31, 2020. In accordance with its business purpose, it will continue to process the existing pension agreements of its members as planned and thus continue to operate over a very long period of time.

The liquidation status therefore does not mean any changes for existing contractual relationships or other agreements.

We will continue to offer you the best possible service and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

With best regards
