P + divests 20 arms companies

20 December 2021

As a responsible investor, we do not want to invest in arms companies related to the conflict in Yemen.

P + takes very seriously the conflict in Yemen, which the UN in 2020 categorized as the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. This is what the deputy director of P + Kirstine Lund Christiansen says:

“Based on developments in Yemen, we decided at the end of 2020 to review the portfolio to reassess our investments in companies that sell weapons and / or military equipment that will later be used in Yemen. This work was further actualized by a membership proposal adopted at the spring general meeting. Here, P + was called upon to divest all companies that sell weapons and / or military equipment to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which according to the UN are primarily responsible for the conflict’s killings, riots and assaults. In recent months, we have carried out an analysis of the portfolio, and on that basis we have chosen to divest investments for a total of DKK 314 million. DKK and place 20 companies on our exclusion list. “
