Internal succession in the management of AXA Switzerland: Volker Reinthaler, previously Chief Risk Officer, will become Chief Financial Officer of the largest Swiss all-industry insurer as of March 1, 2024. He takes over the role from Alain Zweibrucker, who was appointed CEO of AXA UK Retail on January 1st.
The Board of Directors of AXA Switzerland has appointed Volker Reinthaler as the new Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board as of March 1, 2024. The 47-year-old has been the company’s Chief Risk Officer since 2021. Before that, he headed pricing and controlling in the property insurance business for four years after the former Senior Market and Credit Risk Manager at the AXA Group joined the Swiss subsidiary in 2012 as Head of Asset Management Liability. Before joining AXA, Volker Reinthaler worked at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs in London.
Volker Reinthaler studied economics in Konstanz and Bonn and received his doctorate in quantitative economics in Barcelona, Spain, in 2005. The Swiss-German dual citizen has been living in the city of Zurich with his family for almost 15 years.
Volker Reinthaler succeeds Alain Zweibrucker, who was appointed CEO of AXA UK Retail on January 1, 2024.
