The DWS Group announced today that Sven Württemberger has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of DWS CH AG, subject to approval by the Swiss Financial Markets Supervisory Authority. Württemberger, who most recently headed sales as Head of Client Coverage Division Switzerland, will also assume overall responsibility for the market as Country Officer. He will continue to report to Alexia Giugni, Head of Coverage at DWS in the EMEA region ex Germany and Austria. Württemberger is Björn Jesch’s current deputy, who will succeed him. Jesch had decided to leave DWS by mutual agreement.

Sven Württemberger is a proven expert on the Swiss market who is well connected on the customer side,” said Manfred Bauer, Head of EMEA and Product Division. “We wish Sven all the best in his new role. I would also like to thank Björn once again. He has positioned DWS excellently locally over the past few years.”
Björn Jesch, most recently CEO of DWS CH AG, initially joined DWS in 2020 as Head of Multi Asset & Solutions. He was also Global Chief Investment Officer – a role he has also given up. As previously announced, Vincenzo Vedda has been appointed the new DWS CIO (see media information ).
Sven Württemberger has been a member of the Executive Board of DWS CH AG since February 2023. Until now, he was responsible for the sales of active and passive funds, mandates and alternative investment solutions for institutional and wholesale investors. After eight years at BlackRock Asset Management, where he was responsible for the sales of ETFs in Germany and Switzerland, among other things, he returned to DWS in 2017. He was already with the company from 2006 to 2009, when he developed structured product solutions for institutional clients. Württemberger holds an MBA in International Finance from the Helsinki School of Economics and the University of St. Gallen and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bristol Business School in the UK.
