As of September 1, 2022, Mag. Alexander Ahammer, CFA (42 years old) will take over the management of the Asset Management department of the Valida Group. He is therefore responsible for the investments of one of the leading provident funds and pension funds in Austria.
“We are very pleased that we were able to fill this key position from within our own ranks, as this underlines the high level of asset management expertise of our company,” explains Mag. Martin Sardelic, CEO of the Valida Group.
Ahammer has been working as a senior asset manager in the Valida Vorsorge Management group of companies for almost ten years. The trained financial analyst and portfolio manager previously worked in various institutes in the areas of research and asset management. Alexander Ahammer succeeds Arnd Münker, who left Valida at his own request.
The Valida pension fund and pension fund managed assets of around EUR 12 billion at the end of 2021. In 2021, both the pension fund with a performance of 5.05 percent and the pension fund with a performance of 9.41 percent were each the best in the industry.
