Bonhôte welcomes Kim-Andrée Potvin as its next COO

Bonhôte is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim-Andrée Potvin as Chief Operating Officer (COO). She took up her post at the Neuchâtel head office in early January.

A native of Canada, Kim-Andrée (48) holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. She began her career in banking, in Canada, before moving to Paris to joint Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). Two years later, she joined BNP Paribas in France, Luxembourg and then Switzerland, where she quickly rose through the ranks to become COO and Executive Committee member. After 17 years at BNP Paribas, where she managed up to 700 employees, she refocused on boutique institutions promoting entrepreneurship and responsibility, first joining Landolt & Cie then Bamboo Capital Partners, a company active in sustainable finance, both times as COO.

In her new role at Bonhôte, Kim-Andrée will oversee operations, IT and finance departments, including credit and risk management. She will therefore be responsible for maintaining financial strength and operational excellence, particularly through the implementation of new business systems and resources. Bonhôte will also be able to use Kim-Andrée’s expertise in sustainable finance to guide its ESG strategy and expand its sustainability footprint, not only for its own account but also in the investment products it offers to clients.

“We’re delighted to welcome Kim-Andrée,” says Yves de Montmollin, Chief Executive Officer. “Her many years of experience in what is a remarkable career so far, combined with her skills and vision, will be a major asset in taking us forward. We’re excited about the positive impact she will have.”

For Kim-Andrée, who now resides in the Neuchâtel region, this marks a new chapter in her personal and professional life. “I’m thrilled to be joining Bonhôte and to have the opportunity to put my international banking and asset management experience to work for an institution whose values encompass solidity, agility and sustainability,” she says. “I look forward to playing my part in Bonhôte’s future growth, fuelled by a combination of tradition and innovation.”

Aside from her ‘day job’, Kim-Andrée is actively involved in the sustainable finance and social impact fields through the many offices that she holds – namely as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Mawazo Institute (Kenya) and a board member of Tameo Impact Fund Solutions (Switzerland), Sustainable Finance Geneva (Switzerland), of which Bonhôte is an institutional member, and Conservation International Europe (Belgium).

Completely fluent in French and English, Kim-Andrée is a passionate and dynamic person who is inspired by nature, wildlife and biodiversity. Hiking around mountains and lakes allows her to recharge her batteries in anticipation of her next trip to uncover new endemic species in the world.

Neuchâtel-based Bonhôte, which can look back on more than 200 years of history, sees this appointment as a further positive step in its development. As well as Neuchâtel, Bonhôte has branches in Bern, Biel/Bienne, Geneva, Lausanne, Solothurn and Zurich.
