At this year’s SIX Annual General Meeting held today, SIX has announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors, following the resignation of three previous members.
Three long-standing members of the Board of Directors of SIX Group have given their ordinary resignation due to the expiry of their term of office as well as their retirement. Herbert Scheidt has been a member of the Board of Directors of SIX since January 2008. Lorenz von Habsburg Lothringen has been a member of the Board since May 2014. Dr. Jürg Gutzwiller has been a member of the Board since May 2019.

At today’s Annual General Meeting, the three successors to the departing Board member were elected for a three-year term of office. Andreas E.F. Utermann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Vontobel AG and Vontobel Holding AG, Sven Holstenson, Managing Partner at Pictet Group, and Roger Reist, member of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Switzerland and Head of Corporate Clients, Treasury & Markets at Raiffeisen were elected to the SIX Board of Directors today.
Andreas E.F. Utermann, a British and German citizen, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Vontobel AG and Vontobel Holding AG since 2022 and Member of the Board of Directors since 2021. Utermann has a strong background in finance, with previous roles including CEO and Global CIO of Allianz Global Investors Group. Prior to that, he spent 12 years in various functions at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Utermann also serves as Governor at Birkbeck, University of London and Trustee at FT Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign.
Sven Holstenson, a Swiss citizen, is a designated Managing Partner of Pictet Group, responsible for Pictet Technologies & Operations and Pictet Asset Services. Holstenson has held various roles at Pictet since joining in 2012 and was heading Europe for Pictet Wealth Management until end April 2023. He holds a master’s degree from EPFL, an MBA from INSEAD and is a Certified International Investment Analyst.
Roger Reist, also a Swiss citizen, is a member of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Switzerland and heads the Corporate Clients, Treasury & Markets business unit. With a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Zurich and certifications as a Certified International and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Reist has held various management positions at Zürcher Kantonalbank and worked as an interest rate trader for UBS Investment Bank and auditor for banks at PricewaterhouseCoopers International.

The remaining members of the Board of Directors of SIX were confirmed and will remain in their positions for their elected mandates.
