As of July 1, 2023, there will be personnel changes at Swiss Life Asset Managers in the Executive Committee: Hermann Inglin (63), CFO, has decided to reduce his workload and is handing over his position to Jürg Zimmermann (51), currently Head Corporate Development. Stefan Mächler (62), Group Chief Investment Officer, is handing over the Real Estate division, which he previously managed in a dual role, to Per Erikson (53), currently CEO of Swiss Life Asset Managers in Germany. He will be succeeded as CEO of Swiss Life Asset Managers in Germany by Holger Matheis (52), currently a board member and spokesman for the board of BEOS AG.
As part of a forward-looking and continuity-oriented succession plan,
the following changes will take place in the Executive Committee (ExC) as of July 1, 2023:
Hermann Inglin, CFO and long-standing member of the Executive Board, has decided to reduce his workload and to support Swiss Life Asset Managers with special projects in the future. He will report directly to Stefan Mächler and will focus, among other things, on his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Livit AG, as Co-Managing Director of Swiss Life Asset Managers Logistics GmbH and other future strategic tasks.
“On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to thank Hermann for his great and tireless commitment and his valuable contribution to the success story of Swiss Life Asset Managers. I am very pleased that he will continue to support us with his know-how and experience in the future,” says Stefan Mächler.
His successor as CFO and member of the ExC is Jürg Zimmermann. He has been in charge of corporate development at Swiss Life Asset Managers since joining in 2018. Stefan Mächler is handing over management of the rapidly growing Real Estate division to Per Erikson, currently CEO of Swiss Life Asset Managers in Germany. In his new role as Head of Real Estate, Per Erikson will remain a member of the ExC and will continue the high-quality growth of Real Estate.
The new CEO of Swiss Life Asset Managers Germany and thus a member of the ExC will be Holger Matheis, currently a member of the Board of Management and Spokesman of the Board of BEOS AG, a subsidiary of Swiss Life Asset Managers Germany. Holger Matheis has many years of experience in real estate project development and in various management positions. Through his previous work, he is well connected in the industry in Germany and has excellent contacts to important investors.
“With the gradual change in the management body, we are consciously setting the course for the future. We plan with foresight and set up the management level in such a way that continuity is ensured. On behalf of the Executive Board I would like to thank my colleagues Hermann, Jürg, Per and Holger for their contribution to the successful development of Swiss Life Asset Managers. I wish them all the best in their new functions and tasks and look forward to working with them and their teams,” says Stefan Mächler.
