We are pleased to announce that Mr. Volker Mattausch, currently Deputy Managing Director, will take over the position of Managing Director of BWVA on October 1, 2024.
After the deadline for applications had expired and internal consultations had taken place, the independent search committee submitted this personnel proposal to the BWVA Board of Directors. The Board of Directors then unanimously approved this proposal.
Mr. Mattausch has been working for BWVA as deputy managing director since January 2024.
He successfully completed his law studies in Tübingen in 2005 and worked as a lawyer from 2007 to 2016, focusing on labor law, commercial and real estate law and related legal areas.
In 2016, he moved to one of the largest commercial law firms in Germany, HEUSSEN Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft in Stuttgart. Here, his work focused primarily on advising legal departments, managing directors of large companies, and public law relations.
In 2018, he moved to the judiciary of Baden-Württemberg as a judge, first to the district court of Schwäbisch Gmünd and then to the regional court of Ellwangen, focusing on real estate law, construction law and architectural law.
With his experience in many legal areas, which are at the core of the BWVA’s management, and with his social skills, which he has already demonstrated in his role as deputy managing director, the BWVA has now found a managing director who, together with the responsible bodies of the BWVA, will master the future economic, legal and social challenges in the interests of our participants.
