With effect from January 1, 2024, Mónica García Cristóbal (47) will be appointed as the new CEO of Verti Versicherung AG. Mónica García Cristóbal will succeed current CEO Miguel Ángel Rosa (45), who will also take up his new position as CEO of MAPFRE RE, the reinsurance arm of the MAPFRE Group, on January 1, 2024. Verti has been part of the MAPFRE Group since 2015, one of the largest insurance groups in Europe based in Spain.
Mónica García Cristóbal has been working for MAPFRE for 14 years. The telecommunications engineer is currently Head of Transformation at MAPFRE in Spain. Previously, she held various roles within the company, including Corporate Head of Digital Business and Head of Digital at Verti Spain. Last year, British magazine Intelligent Insurer named her one of “ten visionaries to watch in the re/insurance industry.”
The board of Verti Versicherung AG will therefore consist of Mónica García Cristóbal, Chairwoman and CEO, CFO Dr. Felix Ludwig and Frank Senge pass.
