FRANKFURT AM MAIN, September 20, 2022 – Willis Towers Watson’s Retirement Germany division will be headed by Hanne Borst from October 1. She takes over this task from Dr. Thomas Jasper, who will in future focus on the Europe-wide management of the Retirement division.
Since the beginning of 2022, Dr. Thomas Jasper is responsible for the Retirement division (bAV consulting) both throughout Europe and on a German level. Hanne Borst will take over the management of the German market and will also be part of the management of WTW Germany from October 1st.
“With Hanne Borst, an extremely experienced expert who knows the company pension market very well is taking over the management of the Retirement division. We are convinced that it will successfully continue on its growth course in Germany,” says Dr. Reiner Schwinger, Head of Northern Europe at Willis Towers Watson. “At the same time, I am pleased that Dr. Thomas Jasper will once again concentrate entirely on the Europe-wide management of the Retirement division. He has successfully expanded business in this region in recent years.”
The retirement business field at WTW has been characterized by stability and growth for years. In Germany in particular, there have been constant positive developments in recent years. However, the economic situation, transformation processes and a tight labor market are presenting companies with new challenges.
“Germany is the most important pension market in continental Europe,” emphasizes Jasper. “Hanne Borst has been in charge of Actuarial Consulting, the largest retirement area at WTW, since 2018 and looks after large customers and corporations. She is the ideal person to lead the division.”
Rico Huster will be in charge of Actuarial Consulting. Huster has been with WTW since 2006 and has headed the Actuarial Consulting department as site manager at the local level in Munich since 2013.
