AkademikerPension must build a high-quality city center project

26 June 2023

The citizens of Allerød can look forward to the fact that the town center will soon have an area with new homes, a cozy cafe and association rooms added. A completely new area where the green oases together with walking and cycling paths create a connection between the area’s two forests.

The city council in Allerød Municipality approved the purchase agreement on Thursday evening, so the project worth approximately DKK 300 million will now become a reality.

AkademikerPension is behind the project as developer and owner, and the vision from both the city council and us is that the project embraces the city’s history and that the project is carried out with a strong focus on sustainability, well-being and green oases, where architecture, materials and climate solutions are carefully selected .

Nature into the city

Specifically, three properties will be built with approximately 100 apartments, a café, 800 m² of public premises and a parking garage. The grounds are located in an area known by many as “Allerød Kulturtorv”, which lies in the gap between the city’s S-tog station, the pedestrian street and Ravnsholt Forest.

“We are proud to have to build a new urban space for the citizens of Allerød, and we do it with the greatest intention of offering the citizens an area that binds the city together with the surrounding nature”, says CEO of AkademikerPension, Jens Munch Holst.

“At the same time, the project is part of our real estate strategy, where we build properties in attractive locations, which generates a good and stable rental income for our members’ pension savings”, he continues.

The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.

Facts:

Allerød Kulturtorv consists of several municipal plots, which are now being gathered into three main land registers. With the purchase agreement, AkademikerPension becomes the new owner of the total area of 6,000 m² .
