Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries join forces to develop offshore wind energy in Japan. P + is a co-investor.
The investment fund Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), which has P + as an investor, has just chosen to enter into a partnership with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) to develop wind projects off the coast of Japan’s northernmost island, Hokkaido.
CIP’s ambition is to become a significant player in the Japanese offshore wind market, which is expected to experience significant growth in the coming years. This is what P + investment director Kåre Hahn Michelsen says:
