This is the tenth year in a row that KPA Pension can be delighted with first place.

– Our customers value sustainability as one of the issues they think is most important in their pension company. We are of course proud that the Swedish people once again place us as number one in sustainability among pension companies. It shows that there is great confidence in our work with sustainability and long-term responsibility. It is a proof that we are perceived as the company with thought and care that we strive to be, says acting CEO Johan Sjöström.

Sustainability is part of KPA Pension’s DNA and the company has long worked for a future with good pensions and a more sustainable and equal society. KPA Pension manages almost SEK 240 billion and has set the goal that the investment portfolio will have net zero emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050.

– By investing customers’ pension money in a responsible way and as owners influencing the companies we invest in, we can, together with other responsible players in the industry, contribute to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement, says Michael Kjeller, Head of Asset Management and Sustainability.

KPA Pension has worked actively with environmental and sustainability issues since 1998, when the company became the first financial company in Europe to be environmentally certified, in accordance with ISO 14001.
