Malin Omberg appointed vice president of AMF

23 June 2023

At its meeting on June 21, AMF’s board appointed Malin Omberg, AMF’s chief of staff, as the new vice president, a position she will hold in parallel with her current assignment. The post of vice president has been vacant since autumn 2022.

– I appreciate the trust that it means to assume the role of vice president. During my first time at AMF, I was impressed by the competence and experience in the company, and by the commitment with which everyone works to give our 4 million savers the best possible pensions. I look forward to continuing to contribute to this in my new somewhat broader role, says Malin Omberg, chief of staff and deputy CEO of AMF.

– I welcome the board’s decision to appoint Malin Omberg as the new vice president. Malin has a long and solid experience, and is currently responsible for a number of central functions within AMF such as finance, actuarial operations, HR and sustainability. Her breadth, competence and good insight into AMF’s various business areas means that she is well suited to step into my place if necessary, says Johan Sidenmark, CEO of AMF.

Malin Omberg took over as AMF’s chief of staff in AMF in October 2022. She then came from a position as Head Schemes and Regulation in the area of payments at Swedbank, and previously held several senior positions at the Financial Supervisory Authority.
