Malin Norberg has been appointed new Co-Chief Investment Officer Asset Strategies at Norges Bank Investment Management. She will take up the position on 1 April.
Due to the continued growth of Asset Strategies and the importance of the area, it has been decided to establish a Co-Chief Investment Officer role to partner with current Chief Geir Øivind Nygård.
Norberg will be co-responsible for the fund’s portfolio management, external manager selection, security lending and trading.
“I’m very happy Malin has accepted this role. Malin has a solid fixed income and trading background and experience in managing a global team. Besides, she has a strategic mindset and an empathic leadership style”, says CEO Nicolai Tangen.
Norberg joined the fund in 2009 and has held several positions across technology and trading in both Oslo and New York. Her most recent role was Global Head of Fixed Income Trading, a position she held since 2021.
Norberg will be part of the Leader Group, contributing to the overall strategy of the organisation.
