Johnsen will remain in Norges Bank Investment Management and take on a new role, strengthening our active portfolio management from Oslo.
According to plan, Johnsen will relocate to Oslo after the summer. He will take on a position as Senior Portfolio Manager. Johnsen will remain in his position as Chief Equities Officer – working from London – with business as usual until his successor is in place.
Johnsen has been part of the leader group since 2011. From 2013 to 2021, he was also head of the London office.
“It’s been a privilege to manage a knowledgeable and highly accomplished team. I’m very proud of what we have built and delivered in the form of returns and a strong reputation. Now it’s time to pass on the baton to further build on and develop our strong foundation”, Johnsen says.
CEO Nicolai Tangen is pleased that Johnsen will stay in the fund.
“Petter has done a tremendous job as Chief Equities Officer. The results speak for themselves. We are very happy that we will benefit from his expertise in Oslo as he moves to Norway after many years in the UK. It’s a perfect fit with our plans to expand active management in Oslo”, says Nicolai Tangen.
The fund currently has 20 Portfolio Managers based in Oslo, working across all of the fund’s strategies. Eight of the portfolio managers work within Active Equity Portfolio Management.
