PJD picks up good returns in the first half of the year

The Pension Fund for Agricultural Academics & Veterinarians (PJD) has guaranteed members some of the market’s highest returns in the first half of the year with returns of up to 13.9 per cent.

The first six months of the year have offered extremely good returns in PJD. Here, the members in market interest rates have received returns of up to 13.9 per cent. before tax depending on age and risk. The total investment return landed at DKK 851 million. DKK in the first half of 2021.

“Our most important task is to ensure the members the best possible pensions. Therefore, we are very pleased that the members have achieved some of the market’s highest returns in the first six months of the year. The returns are highest for younger members with high risk, but also members with lower risk and members with average interest rates have received satisfactory returns, ”says CEO Mads Smith Hansen, PJD.

On average, members at market interest rates received 11.3 per cent. in return before tax in the first half of the year. Younger members who have chosen high risk have received the highest returns in the half year of up to 13.9 per cent. Members of the average interest rate received an average of 5.4 per cent. in returns in the first half of the year.

“Investments in global equities in particular, including value equities, have paid off in the first half of the year, where we also benefited from being positioned for the rising interest rates that we saw at the beginning of the year. And then our unlisted investments have continued their good performance and delivered solid returns in the first six months of the year. This applies in particular to investments in unlisted shares (private equity), but also in e.g. forest, properties and infrastructure, ”says Mads Smith Hansen.
