Record number of additional payments for P+

1 February 2021

2020 offered uncertainty, pandemic and turmoil in the markets. Still, a record number of members have chosen to contribute extra to their pension.

DKK 255 million in extra contributions

In recent years, Danes have increased their extra savings for old age, and despite a turbulent year, the trend has continued in 2020. This also applies to the members of P +, who last year paid in more than DKK 255 million in extra contributions to their pension savings. This is what P + Mads Stougaard, CFO of P +, says:

“In 2020, a record amount was paid in voluntary payments. Over 36,000 members chose to contribute extra to their pension scheme, which is the highest number ever. The figures emphasize that our members are aware that the extra payments can create greater security in the long run. Not least the uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 pandemic may also have inspired many to put a little extra aside for the future. And as a pension company, we are proud of the trust that our members show us through the many voluntary contributions. ”
