The board of AMF (AMF Tjänstepension AB) has appointed Tomas Flodén as the new CEO. Tomas Flodén is today CEO of AMF Fonder and head of asset management. Tomas Flodén has previously been chief of staff and deputy CEO at AMF, and chief economist at the Financial Supervisory Authority. Tomas Flodén is an economist with a focus on financial economics, and has worked at AMF since 2009. He will start his new role as CEO on January 1, 2025.
– We on the board are very happy that Tomas Flodén has agreed to take on the responsibility as CEO of AMF. He has long and solid experience from AMF, the pension industry and the financial sector. AMF is today a very well-run and strong company, and with Tomas as the new CEO, we ensure that AMF gets both the strength required to continue developing and be at the forefront, but also the continuity needed to continue delivering good pensions to Sweden’s workers , says Lars Wedenborn, chairman of the board AMF.
Tomas Flodén succeeds Johan Sidenmark, who has been CEO of AMF since 2012.

Under Johan Sidenmark’s management, AMF has become a better, stronger and more modern company, with the best return among comparable companies and the lowest fee for the core customers within the SAF-LO contract area. Johan Sidenmark will remain as CEO until Tomas Flodén takes over to ensure an orderly handover.

Approval of appointment as CEO is subject to customary review by the Financial Supervisory Authority.
