Veritas: Exilion Tuuli to build two new wind farms in Ii

Exilion Tuuli Ky, partly owned by Veritas, will build two new wind farms in the municipality of Ii in northern Ostrobothnia, Finland. The wind farms will be called Isokangas and Palokangas.

“As a renewable source of energy, wind power fits well in the portfolio of a responsible investor,” says Laura Wickström, portfolio manager at Veritas. “We want to invest in the production of domestic renewable energy and support the transition to a low-carbon economy.”

The wind farms will include 17 turbines, with an estimated yearly production equivalent to the annual consumption of 130,000 two-bedroom flats.

“We considered it extremely important to increase the investment into renewable energy in Finland in the current energy situation. The Isokangas and Palokangas wind farms will play their part in ensuring the sufficiency of electricity and its self-sufficient production in Finland,” says Exilion’s investment manager Pasi Valasjärvi.

In addition to Veritas, Exilion Tuuli Ky is owned by pension insurance company Elo and the State Pension Fund of Finland. The company focuses on renewable energy production.
