Barings, one of the world’s leading investment managers, today announced that it has hired Patrick O’Sullivan, PhD, as Head of International Insurance Solutions, a newly created role, to expand the firm’s ability to deliver investment solutions to insurers across the globe.
In his new role, O’Sullivan will provide Barings’ insurance clients with a depth of technical expertise and support across insurance regulatory regimes to build long-term investment partnerships. He will collaborate closely with the portfolio analytics team and other investment teams to ensure Barings is providing clients with efficient asset allocations across public and private markets. O’Sullivan will also be responsible for supporting clients on evolving regulatory requirements, reporting and other key industry issues.
O’Sullivan joins Barings after six years with Schroders, where he was Head of Insurance Solutions. At Schroders, he built the Insurance Solutions framework working with clients globally. Prior to Schroders, he held positions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Bank of Ireland and was a Lecturer of Finance at the University of Southampton.
