IGG appoints Priti Ruparelia as new Head of DC

24 April 2024

Priti joined IGG in September 2023 with more than 25 years of experience, having previously headed up Legal & General’s DC Relationship Teams. She has an extensive track record of bringing a member-focused approach to her work with trustees, employers and their advisers across DC contract, single trust and master trust arrangements. She has previously overseen the setup of new DC pension schemes as well as the transition of Trust schemes to Master Trust arrangements.

Priti takes over the leadership of IGG’s DC Centre of Excellence from Dianne Day, who is returning to Australia to continue her career in governance after 17 years as a professional trustee.

IGG representatives form part of trustee boards that oversee the DC retirement savings of £40bn for more than 3.5 million members. A large number of IGG’s DB pension scheme clients with DC sections have chosen IGG to act as trustee across both sides of their occupational pension offering.

Commenting on her appointment, Priti Ruparelia said:

“I’m hugely excited by the challenge of overseeing IGG’s DC proposition, which is central to the business today and to the firm’s growth ambitions for the future. I’m grateful to Dianne for her support and guidance since I joined the firm last year. Her dedication to this area of the business gives the team and me a strong platform to build on.

“It’s impossible to overestimate the importance of the DC and Master Trust model to the future of the UK pensions industry, with policy debates set to continue this year as we build up towards the General Election.

“Pension trustees who specialise in working with DC schemes have a vital responsibility to keep pace with regulatory change and the evolving economic climate without ever taking their eye off the long-term horizon. I am looking forward to leading colleagues and clients through what looks set to be an exciting period for the industry.”

Andrew Bradshaw, CEO of IGG, added:

“I know Priti will help us achieve great things as our new Head of DC, as we maintain and grow this vital offering, as the pensions landscape continues to evolve.

“I would like to thank Dianne for her dedication to IGG, helping to shape the direction of the firm and our DC centre of excellence which is renowned for providing exceptional client service.”
