An experienced professional trustee, Mike combines technical expertise, business acumen and a proven history of delivering strategic objectives. As the first Chief Executive of the Pensions Infrastructure Platform (PiP), Mike led the development of a £1bn infrastructure investment manager during his 4 years tenure. This included raising over £1bn of investment commitment and completing asset/portfolio investments in 10 Core UK infrastructure projects including PFI hospitals, social housing schemes, renewables and investment into major engineering projects.

A well-known industry figure, Mike is a regular presenter at industry events where his extensive experience as a former chief executive of LGPS Central, one of eight Local Government Pension Scheme pooling organisations adds significant value. During his tenure in Wolverhampton, he was responsible for supporting the retirement incomes of over 1 million LGPS members, funded by over 2000 local employers. He delivered a steep trajectory of organisational, cultural and performance progress, reaching almost £30bn AuM, more than doubling the team and significantly expanding the range of available investment funds.
