Aegon Master Trust researches illiquid assets in 2025

Aegon Master Trust has published its Statement of Investment Principles for year end March 2025. The Trustees are researching illiquid assets as a potential new asset class to improve member outcomes and enhance risk-adjusted returns over the medium to long term, as mentioned on page 6. The Trustees are committed to working alongside Aegon and fund manager partners to understand how to improve long-term value through new asset classes, with further analysis being undertaken before committing to investment in illiquid assets, and they hope to update this position within the next 12 months.
