Banque Cantonale de Genève: Richard Christinat appointed Head of Financial Markets and Treasury

The Bank’s Executive Board entrusts the management of the Financial Markets and Treasury Department to Richard Christinat.

Long-standing expertise in financial markets

Richard Christinat began his professional career in 1992 in the trading room of SBC Warburg. As of 1995, he worked in various positions at Credit Suisse in Geneva and Zurich, notably as a forex specialist. He then moved to Banque Leu and BCV, before joining PSA International SA (now Stellantis International) in 2005, where he was appointed Head of the Trading Room in 2014. In 2022, he joined BCGE as Head of Financial Markets and Treasury. He is a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA).

BCGE’s trading room

BCGE’s trading room consists of 20 operators, working in different areas of expertise. In addition to traditional activities such as foreign exchange, stock markets, capital markets, ALM, treasury and financial engineering, it also includes a private equity unit. BCGE’s trading room is one of the few Geneva-based platforms dedicated to serving commercial clients. It plays a key role in the Bank’s overall offer to corporate clients and institutional investors.
