AP Pension’s subsidiary, AP Ejendomme, sets clear CO2 reduction targets for the company’s properties in operation. By 2025, AP Ejendomme will have reduced CO2 emissions by 52 percent in its properties in operation.

AP Pension’s subsidiary, AP Ejendomme, has set a clear target for CO 2 reduction for the company’s properties in operation. By 2025, AP Ejendomme will have reduced CO 2 emissions by 52 percent for its properties in operation. AP Ejendomme’s new reduction target is part of the fact that last year AP Pension joined the IIGCC’s net zero cooperation, the Paris Aligned Investment Initiative, which obliges AP Pension to achieve a climate-neutral investment portfolio by 2050 or before. As part of that, AP Pension has just drawn up a number of interim targets towards 2025. Including the reduction target for AP Properties.

AP Ejendomme’s managing director, Peter Olsson, believes that it is an ambitious but also realistic reduction target that AP Ejendomme has set itself:

We work every day for our property portfolio to have reduced its CO 2 consumption, and now we set a figure for how much our properties in operation in 2025 must have reduced CO 2 emissions by. It is an ambitious but also realistic goal that we have set ourselves, and we will do our absolute best to achieve it, says Peter Olsson, who also states that the goal for properties in operation has been calculated based on 2019, when AP Ejendomme had 52 properties in operation that emitted 4,529 tonnes of CO 2 equivalents. The 52 properties are rental properties and commercial properties with a total area of 230,202 square meters.
