Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has launched the world’s largest fund dedicated to the establishment of renewable energy projects. P + is a co-investor.
Just five months after the launch, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ (CIP) new fund dedicated to the establishment of new renewable energy projects has raised almost DKK 30 billion. This makes the CI IV Foundation the largest of its kind in the world.
At the same time, the fund is probably approaching its fund target of just over DKK 40 billion, which reflects the market’s confidence in investments in energy infrastructure. Anders Christian Schelde, head of alternative investments at P +, says:
“The renewable energy markets have proven to be robust despite COVID-19 and the turmoil caused by the pandemic. Investors still have an appetite for renewable energy, as the launch of the CI IV fund helps to emphasize. The fund’s investment strategy builds on the success of CIP’s previous funds and is tailored to institutional investors with a long-term investment horizon such as P +. ””
