USS publishes on its website:
USS has continued to meet the high standards of reporting to remain a signatory to the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) Stewardship Code.
The FRC describes stewardship as “the responsible allocation, management and oversight of capital to create long-term value for clients and beneficiaries leading to sustainable benefits for the economy, the environment and society”.
USS’s 2023 Stewardship Code report, published in June, has been assessed by the FRC as exhibiting our commitment to stewardship, sustainability, and good corporate governance – attesting that we have continued to adhere to its high standards of reporting.
A complete list of signatories has been issued by the FRC, which includes asset managers, asset owners and the service providers that support them, who have met the standards required by the Code. Signatories are required to report on their stewardship policies, processes, activities, and outcomes annually for a 12-month reporting period.
