Pálmar Óli new chairman of Birta

Pálmar Óli Magnússon, CEO of the service company Daga hf., Is the new chairman of the board of Birta Pension Fund. Guðrún Elfa Hjörleifsdóttir is the vice chairman.
Guðrún Elfa represents one of the four main employees in Birta’s new board. The others are Hrönn Jónsdóttir, Örvar Þór Kristjánsson and Hilmar Harðarson. Örvar Þór is a new board member and replaces Jón Kjartan Kristinsson.
The board members on behalf of the employers are Þóra Eggertsdóttir, Pálmar Óli, Álfheiður Ágústsdóttir and Sigurður R. Ragnarsson. Álfheiður and Sigurður are new board members and will replace Guðrún Jónsdóttir and Davíð Hafsteinsson.
Deputy Board members are Birta Laxdal Halldórsdóttir and Guðmundur S. Sigurgeirsson on behalf of employees and Bolli Árnason and Guðbjörg Guðmundsdóttir on behalf of employers.
