The newly elected board of Birta exchanged roles after the annual meeting of the pension fund yesterday, April 22. Þóra Eggertsdóttir is the chair of the board and Hrönn Jónsdóttir is the vice chair. Þóra is the CFO of Icelandia and sits on the board of the fund on behalf of employers. Hrönn is a multimedia designer and works for Marel in Iceland. She sits on the board of the fund on behalf of employees. Þóra and Hrönn are thus swapping roles, with Hrönn previously the chair of the board and Þóra the vice chair.
This time, Jakob Tryggvason was re-elected to the board of the fund at an election meeting on April 9th. Bára Laxdal Halldórsdóttir joins as a principal member but has been an alternate on the board in recent years. Ólöf Linda Sverrisdóttir and Sigurður R. Ragnarsson were re-elected to the board by the Confederation of Icelandic Employers.
